Chairs

One Chair, one specific area of research

An academic Chair relates to a specific area of operational research, organised by one or more professors who are experts in the field and who define a specifically related scientific project.

Each Chair has its own strategy, but the basic scientific project is in three parts:

  • research,
  • teaching,
  • relations with organisations in the sector that support the activity being proposed.

A Chair is not a profit-making body. The aim is to deliver an academic publication of top quality covering these three aspects.
This output demonstrates the excellence of BEM and enhances our reputation in the context of international accreditations.
