BEM has a long-standing reputation both at national and international levels in the field of industrial management, and especially in supply chain management and purchasing.

The industrial management professors who teach in the school’s Masters programmes are grouped in the "Business relationship management" pole and increase their international visibility by exploring topics such as cognition, decision making or client relations.

The pole is interested, for instance, in understanding and measuring "knowledge management" in learning contexts. A study is currently underway to measure the possible effects and influence of "e-learning" on decision making by managers and future managers.

Two chairs have been added to support research in this pole:
