Identity
BEM was founded by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1874, and is one of the oldest “Grandes Ecoles” in France. The school is a member of the “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles”.
Originally called the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, the school became the Groupe ESC Bordeaux then Bordeaux Ecole de Management and now we prefer to be called simply BEM.
BEM today offers 12 programmes awarding diplomas in management to the level of Bachelor, Masters and Specialised Masters.
These programmes award a Specialised Masters diploma recognised by the “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles” and a state-recognised certificate.
BEM offers several types of services for working professionals.
Diploma programmes, certificate programmes, Experience Validation for the ESC Grande Ecole programme, custom-made programmes for companies, covering different aspects of management.
Three major areas: global responsibility, operational management and wine management.
Much more than an area of expertise, global responsibility lies at the very heart of BEM’s activity. The goal of our school is to train managers who will be responsible for their actions not only in a professional context but also in relation to society. This approach to management will be reflected in their professional, personal, economic, social and environmental life. Global responsibility has already been an integral part of all the various teaching programmes and school practice for a number of years.
BEM has a long and well-established experience of international dealings, partly through our links with the city of Bordeaux, known and recognised throughout the world. Our international policy has 3 objectives:
Students in our 12 programmes are able to gain an international culture through exchange agreements, company internships and of course taught courses in English.
Lastly, the School is lucky enough to have a vibrant student culture, with several major student associations, catering to a wide and dynamic range of interests.
Today, BEM possesses the EQUIS, AMBA and AASCB accreditations. Only 1% of Business Schools in the world has obtained this triple crown.
This glossary develops a common vocabulary for companies benefit - 100 words to guide knowledge and action.

I didn’t have a clear idea of what I was looking for but I was sure that I wanted to attend lessons which would provide me of an open worldwide view. I immensely enjoyed my course of geopolitical monitoring in the ENSCPB college where we worked in mixed groups of engineers and international students.
