Whether you choose to live close to the BEM campus or in Bordeaux, sharing a flat or in a university hall of residence, here is some practical information to help you find accommodation.
Talence, proximity to School
If you opt to be close to BEM, Talence offers a wide choice of furnished accommodation, studios in student residences or lodgings with a room and meals ...also large apartments to rent, for those who enjoy sharing.
The nearest small towns also have a large selection of accommodation. For those who intend to use public transport, check first to see how well your future place of residence is served.

Bordeaux, in the heart of the city
Some of the most popular student areas: Place de la Victoire, very festive (and therefore often fairly noisy!), the Place Gambetta area, and "Vieux Bordeaux" around Saint Pierre, for the pleasure of living in the heart of the city.
Many also choose to live along the main axis linking the Place de la Victoire and Talence, in this way it is possible to enjoy what the town centre has to offer, while still being on the route leading directly to the School (Barrière St Genès / cours de l'Argonne)

This organisation displays many adverts from private individuals.

For information at a distance

- www.apartager.com: adverts for house-sharing
- www.colocation.fr : adverts for house-sharing and answers to questions about this type of accommodation.
In practice, flat-mates are considered as a single renter: they are jointly responsible for all commitments until the lease is terminated.
It is therefore important not to take on these commitments lightly (all relevant information on this question on www.anil.org)
University halls
Next to the school, the Le Campus hall of residence is reserved for BEM students; it is managed by the company DOMOFRANCE,

Examples of prices in 2007-2008:
- Studio: approx 390 euros per month, charges included, electricity not included
- Duplex: approx 440 euros per month, charges included, electricity not included
In Bordeaux and Talence there are many other student residences with services which are available to you: all details are centralised on the website www.adele.org which gives a description of the accommodation, price, photos and virtual visits (it is sometimes even possible to reserve at a distance, so that you do not have to come to Bordeaux before the year starts: ideal for those who work or who are abroad).

Assistance from the Aquitaine Conseil Régional
The Aquitaine Conseil Régional has put in place the Garanties CLÉ Aquitaine – Aquitaine key guarantees - to make renting student accommodation easier, in two ways:
- the "Rent Guarantee" is a guarantee of payment of rent and charges, which means that a student can give the landlord a surety.
- the "Loan Guarantee" is a guarantee to pay off a loan, which makes it easier to ask for a bank loan to pay for a surety.
These two guarantees can be combined.
Only students in the 3 situations described below, and who are not eligible for the “Aides Loca-Pass”, can benefit from the “Garanties CLÉ Aquitaine”:
- students not of French nationality, and who are not eligible for a French state grant,
- students of French nationality, whose parents live in the French Overseas Departments or Territories, and who are not eligible for a French state grant,
- students of French nationality, whose parents live in France, who are not eligible for a French state grant, and whose parents’ income, or the student’s income if he is independent, is less than or equal to 28,000 euros

Public transport
To reach the school by tram, take line B and get off at the Doyen Brus stop. Then walk up avenue Pey-Berland and cross Cours de la libération.
