EBP International: 3 countries, 3 diplomas

EBP is BEM’s international programme. In 5 and a half years it trains students in general and multicultural management through a course that is taught in three countries (*).

The students’ experience in working in companies (including an international one-year internship) helps develop real professional skills.

* France and two 2 other countries from Great Britain, Germany or Spain. Partnerships are currently being drawn up for the 5th year with American, Chinese and Indian universities.

Course content

Course content is coordinated between European partners to ensure coherence, while taking into account specific features of the different places.

At BEM, there are 9 main subject areas:

  • Economics and international company strategy
  • Economics and economic policy of the European Union
  • Social Sciences and Human Resource management
  • Company law
  • Information Systems
  • Finance and accounting
  • Marketing
  • Quantitative methods
  • Methodology (research, project)

Languages

Languages are essential, and the objectives are as follows:

  • Language 1 (language of the host country): to be able to follow courses abroad easily by the end of the 3rd semester and to be completely bilingual by the end of the programme
  • Language 2: to have a level which enables the student to have a discussion, to work in the language and to follow the 5th year courses

Company internship

Objectives:

  • To put into practice what has been taught through a real work project in a company
  • To discover a company in action, with its technical, human, social aspects
  • To learn new skills in preparation for work.

Final dissertation

During the 7th semester, all students must produce a final dissertation on a subject of their choice, approved by their supervisor, putting into practice the techniques they have learned.

Diplomas

At the end of the programme, 3 official diplomas are awarded:

  • after 4 years study, a Bachelor degree (diploma from the international academic institution where the student has spent 3 semesters).
  • after 5 years, the EBP International state-approved Bac+5 diploma
  • a Masters degree in Marketing, Corporate Finance or International Operations Management (diploma awarded by overseas institution)

The 5th year is optional for students graduating in 2008 but in future years it will be an integral part of the course.
