EBP International attaches more importance to the written part (coeff. 12) than to the oral (coeff. 8) and values general abilities over linguistic ability.
There are three papers, to assess candidates’ intellectual and linguistic abilities.
Each EBP candidate has only one language paper, according to the section for which he is applying: German for the Franco-German section, English for the Franco-British section and Spanish for the Franco-Spanish section.
A candidate can increase his chances of success by applying to 2 sections. In this case, he has two language papers.
All language papers have the same format. There are three parts: Essay, MCQ grammar, vocabulary, syntax and MCQ comprehension.

These consist of an individual interview and a foreign language interview (the language of the chosen section). As soon as the list of those eligible to go through to the orals is published, candidates can sign up to spend half a day at EBP.
The interview lasts 25 minutes and is before a panel consisting of one professor or staff member from the school and one company executive (usually an EBP graduate). The interview shows the coherence of the candidate’s study project, his interests, his openness and his commitment
The language interview lasts 15 minutes and the purpose is to show the ease with which the candidate expresses himself (oral expression and comprehension).
