BEM has recognised expertise in the Management of Wines and Spirits: both in research, with the Wine Industry Management Chair, created in partnership with the Castel group - leader in the French market – and in teaching, with the Wine MBA (AMBA accredited) and specialised optional courses. BEM is now offering a new and unique programme: the Specialised Masters in the Management of Wine and Spirits (MVS) which provides a practical and specifically adapted response to the needs of the wine and spirits sector.

The issues facing the wines and spirits sector today are affecting not only the French or European markets, but they are felt worldwide, in an environment that is becoming more and more competitive. There are many economic and managerial problems to face. Companies in the wine sector are looking for managers who can work with marketing tools and who are operational in sales techniques. These abilities must of course be accompanied by more general knowledge – both cultural and strategic – of companies and of the wine sector, and more modern qualities such as adaptability and creativity.

To create this course we worked in close collaboration with experts from the wine industry, professionals and academics, the BEM Specialised Masters in the Management of Wine and Spirits is a unique programme, which corresponds perfectly to the needs of companies today. The identity of MVS is founded on teaching through action, based on three elements: student, company, teacher. The student becomes the creator of his own teaching programme, through immersion in a company in the wine sector for 15 months (alternating studies and work experience) and individual coaching from a BEM professor. The company makes a commitment to take the student 3 weeks a month and to pay his tuition fees.

Through MVS you can obtain a double skill: one that is product-based, in partnership with the Oenology faculty at Bordeaux University, and managerial. You will work in French and in English and you will have plenty of opportunities to meet up with professionals in this field, who will share with you their passion and their expertise.
