Research Department
Our Research Department plans, organises, directs, develops, promotes and monitors the wide range of research activities and outcomes undertaken by the BEM faculty. It ensures that all research-related decisions are in line with the mission and vision defined for our institution.
The objective of the Research Department is to improve the quality and efficiency of services provided to faculty members so as to make BEM a stimulant research place, conducive to promoting the quality, scope, relevance and proper communication of research outcomes throughout the various local, regional, national and international communities.
To achieve those goals, the Research Department has put the following structures in place :
Research Steering Committee
It contributes to the definition of research policy, acknowledges and values individual and collective contributions from faculty members, and participates in the preparation of action plans aimed at developing research activities and communicating their outcomes.
The RST comprises the following members :
- Head of Research
- Research Team Leaders
- Heads of Chair
- Informathèque Manager
Research Support Committee / International Research Advisory Board
Hosted by the Head of Research and comprised of non-BEM research directors and/or teachers who have a role in steering research activities in their own institutions (lab directors, heads of research department, etc.). Its missions are :
- Review the activities of the BEM research teams and departmental chairs.
- Review the research activities conducted at BEM in terms of strategy and positioning.
- Propose ways of improvement in the way research is conducted and organised at BEM.
