At BEM, we make the following available

1/ Internal telecommunication infrastructure linked to Internet

BEMnet is the computer network of BEM, which you will use :

  • To connect to Internet from your laptop or from a work station on campus.
  • To access shared resources (printers, data storage areas, etc.).
  • For e-mail communication.

The entire campus –including the student residence – is covered by a Wireless network.

2/ Electronic mail

BEM provides students, teachers, the administrative department and alumni with a complete electronic message service and an e-mail address that they can use for life.

3/ On-line services, indispensable partners in your daily life at BEM

eValoris is the name of BEM’s LMS - Learning Management System – an on-line teaching platform. You will use this on a daily basis throughout your studies.

  • It gives you access at any time – and wherever you are – to the teaching material put on-line by the teachers (handouts, exercises and corrections, etc.).
  • It is an essential complement to traditional class teaching and can, if the teacher so wishes, become a permanent partner in the learning process through tools such as forums, wiki, self-assessment, etc.
  • It enables those who are abroad on study programmes to remain in contact with life at BEM.

MyBEM is the web portal of the "BEM Community". It is the sole entry point, from where you can access all practical information in the different "sites" that it controls. You will find:

  • A "personal space" containing your personal timetable, your notes and a management system for your personal data.
  • Catalogue of taught courses.
  • Weekly diary and news bulletin of events at BEM.
  • Multicriteria search tool for internships.
  • Direct links to related sites (associations, etc.).
  • etc...

4/ Workrooms and connected work areas

The self-service workrooms contain over 100 computer workstations available mainly to students who do not have their own laptop, so that they can do their academic work, send e-mails, surf the Internet, etc. This equipment is completely renewed every three years.

Students with their own laptop can work in the various specially designated areas. There you can access BEMnet –and therefore Internet- by plugging in or using the WIFI connection via your computer.
