Since September 2001, The Institute of International Business runs a joint-programme with Wuhan University of Technology, School of Economics, in China.

This programme is dedicated to Chinese students holding a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree, or equivalent, from Wuhan University of Technology or from others Chinese universities.

Learning modules

Split between Wuhan and Bordeaux, the programme has 3 main assets :

  • to give an important place to the cultural and geopolitical dimension of exchange in order to better understand the expectations of another country's markets
  • to focus on industrial and high tech goods as well as consumer goods
  • to develop the ability to be both local and global

The learnings are spread over 9 learning modules:

  • International Environment
  • Corporate Strategy - Management
  • Commerce - Marketing
  • Corporate Finance
  • Business Law
  • Production - Operations - Logistics
  • Human Resources and Communication
  • Accounting - IT - Languages
  • Cross-Disciplinary Cases.

Teaching techniques

Teaching techniques are taken to support the objectives of a strategic approach of "global operations":

  • case studies
  • exposes and free discussions
  • individual and team work
  • compulsory hours of French language (several levels, from "Survival French " to "French for Business")

International assignment

At the end of the courses, a 6-month period (which can be extended) is set aside for the preparation and realisation of an international assignment for a company. This assignment leads to a public exposure of a report.
